Defender

Retro Rebuild of the classic early-80s arcade game.

Defend your planet and protect the Humanoids from the enemy attack waves.

Landers will capture Humanoids and turn them into Mutants.

Bombers will scatter mines to be avoided.

Pods will explode in a cloud of deadly Swarmers.

Baiters will appear from nowhere with deadly effect.

If all the Humanoids are captured the planet is destroyed and you will have to battle it out in space.

Basic Rules

     Start with 3 Ships and 3 Smart Bombs.

     Unlimited laser fire.

     Unlimited Hyperspace jumps.

     New Ship and Smart Bomb every 10000 points.

     New Planet and Humanoids every 4 attack waves.

     The Scanner will show you enemy and humanoid locations.

I’ve tried to make the rebuild as true to the original as possible. This includes the screen size which is to the same dimensions as the original. This makes the action frantic and reduces your time to react.

Just like the original, the game is hard. The average game play time on the arcade machine was 37 seconds, I’m sure with a bit of practice you’ll be having games a lot longer than that, please stick with it.

Controls – Game only works with a GamePad

     RT – Thrust

     LT – Reverse

     Stick Up – Up

     Stick Down – Down

     A – Fire

     X – Hyperspace

     Y – Smart Bomb
